Sheffield University Scientists Develop 3D Parts That Can Fight Bacteria

A team of researchers at the University of Sheffield have 3D printed parts that show resistance to common bacteria. This new discovery has the ability to stop the spread of contagious bacteria such as MRSA in hospitals and care homes, saving the lives of the most susceptible patients.

The latest study was published last Tuesday, 21 January 2020, in Scientific Reports, and was created by a team of researchers from the University of Sheffield’s Department of Mechanical Engineering and the School of Clinical Dentistry.
