NHS Property Services (NHSPS) was ‘set up to fail’, according to a damning report from the House of Commons Public Accounts Committee (PAC).
Offering a brusque appraisal, PAC said NHSPS was created with a ‘muddled objective’. Without the powers of a commercial landlord, how could it be expected to run roughly 12% of the healthcare estate on behalf of the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC)?
