Over half of England’s A&E departments are not good enough, and there is no guarantee that services will improve despite extra money going into the NHS, the Care Quality Commission (CQC) has said.

‘Times of Crisis’

The CQC has said that people have been turning to A&E in times of crisis as there is a lack of support within the community. It added that services would remain under pressure until a funding solution has been found for social care.
