NHS Blood and Transplant (NHSBT) is continuing its campaign to raise awareness of the forthcoming law change in England, by targeting leaders and influencers in the NHS.

New Donor Legislation

The new legislation which comes into play in Spring 2020 will see the introduction of an ‘opt out’ organ donation system in England. Unless adults chose to opt out, or are in group which is excluded, they will automatically be agreeing to be an organ donor when they die.
