NHS Digital has released new figures which show that the number of patients using the NHS App has more than doubled in the last three months.
NHS App Ambassador Scheme
When Chief Nurse Ruth May launched the NHS App Ambassadors Scheme in September 2019, there were just 91,000 users; that number now stands at over 200,000. The app is currently used to book NHS appointments digitally, rather than by phone, offering access to a range of NHS services via smartphone or tablet. These services include managing repeat prescriptions, viewing medical records, checking symptoms and registering to become an organ donor.
