There has been an increase in the number of junior doctors in Scotland who are training to become General Practitioners (GPs), new figures have revealed.
The figures also reveal an increase in the percentage of speciality training posts being filled. NHS recruitment figures show that 92% of medical training posts in Scotland which were advertised in the last year were filled, with just 89 out of the 1131 posts not being taken up.
