How to Maximise Opportunities With NHS Open Space

Technology should be utilised to improve patient care

Developing hybrid estate and technology solutions is key

The NHS’s future has once again taken centre stage with the publication of the Long-Term Plan in January 2019. One of the key themes in the report is the utilisation of technology to improve patient care and future-proofing the NHS.

Along with this, another question being asked is how the NHS Estate can adapt and change, not only to deliver the Long-Term Plan but to meet other challenges. These include the provision of additional community services to support patients once discharged, and how the increasing pressures of acute care can be alleviated.
