Chief Nurse at Health Education England (HEE), Mark Radford, has unveiled plans to support new undergraduate nurses with an investment of up to £10 million.
New Funding
The funding is to be invested into supporting and boosting nursing workforce numbers. It will also be invested into clinical placement programmes in order to increase nursing capacity, and builds on work from last year which increased the number of clinical placements for nursing students by more than 7500. This also enabled an additional 1400 student nurses to start their training in September 2019.
