A new ground-breaking research centre, aimed at enabling dementia suffers to keep their independence for longer has been announced by the Care Research and Technology Centre.

Unique approaches

The £20m research facility based at Imperial College London will join six national discovery science centres that, collectively, make up the UK Dementia Research Institution (UK DRI). Using unique and innovative approaches, including AI and robotics to sleep monitoring, it will ensure that those with dementia can live safely and independently in their own homes.
