Admissions for Sepsis Double in Three Years in England

Admissions for Sepsis in England have more than doubled in the last three years, new figures have shown.

Data obtained by the Press Association shows the rise in recorded admissions amongst all age groups, including the very young, which has prompted the head of the UK Sepsis Trust to warn parents that they need to be just as vigilant for sepsis as they are for meningitis.
