New £8 Million Ambulance Station Announced in Cardiff

A new £8 million ambulance station has been announced for Cardiff, with the aim to boost productivity in the Welsh Ambulance Service.


The Welsh Government has committed to a multimillion-pound investment in order to bring the new cutting-edge facility to life in the Welsh capital’s Pontprennau area. The new state-of-the-art station will also allow emergency crews to collect their vehicles more readily as Dedicated Fleet Assistants will have already cleared and re-stocked ambulances in the new ‘Make Ready Depot’, which will enable frontline crews to respond to services quicker.
