NHS Improvement and NHS England have jointly appointed Prerana Issar to the role of Chief People Officer, as announced in February 2019.

As part of the NHS Executive Group, Ms Issar will ensure that the NHS in England has enough skilled and experienced workers to deliver the improvements set out in the NHS Long Term Plan.
