Men who are at a higher risk of developing prostate cancer should have extra checks from the age of 40, experts have said.

Those men who are born with certain DNA mutations in their genetic code are more likely to develop prostate cancer. Scientists at the Institute of Cancer Research (ICR) have said that an annual blood test could help spot tumours early, which means they are often easier to treat, with Prostate Cancer UK saying any decisions should be made carefully.
