The NHS is investing an extra £1.7 million into a new non-emergency helpline to give patients more clinical advice about the coronavirus. NHS England has also put a new online NHS 111 service into place, after a surge in enquiries about COVID-19.
Additional Funding
Over the past weekend, more than 35,000 people used the website to get help and advice on symptoms and what they should do should they catch the virus.
